TAIF

Taif is characterized by its year-long cool weather and known as “the friend of the clouds”. It is located on the eastern slopes of the Sarawat Mountains and about 1,700 m above sea level. Taif is famous for producing fruit grapes, berries, pomegranates and figs — and especially Taif Roses coveted for their lingering fragrance.

Savor the scent of Taif’s Roses

The Rose of Taif is a precious red-pink rose of the Damask species, named after its native region. When in full bloom, the rose is made up of 30 oil-rich petals, with an intense but soft, powdery scent and delicious hints of tea and honey

Explore Shubra Palace

Built in the middle of Taif city, the palace is one of the most important historic luxury buildings. Its design resembles the palaces of the Shubra district in Cairo, Egypt, from which it took its name. The construction of the palace was completed within two months in 1323 AH / 1905 AD and is distinguished by a mixture of architectural designs that were popular in the past, namely Islamic and Roman styles with forms of traditional architecture in the Makkah region.
